What Is The Prognosis For Increased Urea Levels?

respected sir,
i m ruban.i m studing M.Tech biotechnology in anna university.
my uncle was sugar patient. he already take treatment. now his urea level always increased.
blood urea -105 mg/dl
serum creatine - 3.9 mg/dl
what is his situation doctor.

dear ruban vanakam...i am very sorry to say your uncle is suffering from stage 2-3 kidney disease,depending on creatinin doubling time finally he may land up in dialysis with in 3 to 4 yrs if maintained well.i am giving this opinion assuming that ita a chronic kidney damage.if it's acute kidney problem due to dehydration or kidney insult due to drugs chance of recovery are good......... regards
