What is the prognosis for an end stage COPD patient?

I have end stage copd with emp. and broc. Also a hernia on each side above my groin. They have been ther years and was told they could not operate. I was on breathing machine almost 2 years ago with pneumonia and made it thru but was real close. Kindy worried about it. thanks.

Prognosis is still bad. But with adequate support and proper nursing care, we can improve the quality of life.
