What Is The Prognosis For A Pregnant Woman With Absence Of Yolk Sac?

Hello.... I am 30year. I have 8week 5days pregnancy. I got ultrasound report yesterday. In which they says that I have no yolk sac and no heartbeat. But fetal pole is present...I am worried.. please help me to say that is it normal? I don t have bleeding. I referred to next sonography after two weeks. Is it possible that next time they can see yolk sac and heartbeat. If they find same situation in next ultrasound then what? Is this a miscarriage sign for me. I had two miscarriage before this pregnancy. I have a daughter who is 5year old. Please help me by your reply....

Hi I think you should wait for 2 weeks. Get a repeat scan done after that. If findings are same, it means it is not a viable pregnancy and you have to terminate it. Get a thyroid profile and APLA profile done to find out the cause of repeated miscarriages. Take some folic acid supplement and some progesterone supplements orally like susten or duphaston. Hope it helps.
