Hello,
Welcom to
Healthcaremagic.com.
As I went through your query. What I can provide you as my opion depends on many factors
.
1. Which type of lung cancer he is suffering for example small cell lung carcinoma has bad prognosis.

2. What is the stage of cancer for example stage 3rd or 4th have also bad prognosis than 1-2 stages.

It also depends the health status of the patient if he is healthy to sustain chemotherapy and radiotherapy he can have better prognosis.

You must go for the treatment plan as directed by your oncologist and cooperate with health team
At last my opion is that most of the lung cancers have bad prognosis. Still there are five year survival rates too.

Hope my answer will help you and write to us further if you feel needy.

Regards
