What Is The Procedure Involved In The Remicade Infusion Therapy For Ankalosing Spondylitis?

I have been diagnosed to have Ankalosing Spondylitis. I am having severe pain in most of my body and extremities. The dr. says there is nothing much he can do for me other than Remicade Infusion therapy and sending me to a pain management center. What are your thoughts on Remicade Infusion therapy?

Hi,

It is an anti-immune antibody. It binds and destroys one particular immune hormone. It is pretty safe and is about monthly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
