What Is The Probability Of The Newborn Getting Vitiligo If Both Parents Suffer From It?
My question is, if the father and father's mom are having the vitiligo (non-progressing) what is the probability of the newborn getting the vitiligo? And, are there any tests/treatment during pregnancy to avoid newborn getting vitiligo. by the way baby's mother or mother side does not have history of vitiligo, its only in father's side.

There seems to be a hereditary component to vitiligo – 10% have a family history. Children of parents with vitiligo do have a somewhat increased chance of developing it.
This, however, does not mean that patients’ children will definitely inherit vitiligo. In most cases of vitiligo, there is no family history.
If both parents are involved the chances are more as compared to when either of the parent is involved.
