What is the possibility of being pregnant when the tubes are tied ?
Tubal two yrs ago and a week late for my period Hi im a 31 yr old mother of six. With my last child I had placenta previa and bled out prompting an emergency c-section. My ob/gyn tied my tubes in June of 09. My cycle has been coming on regularly about every 28 days. I am a week late for my period. Could I be pregnant and will I be able to carry this baby to term?!? D.B in Florida
Since your Tubes were ligated in June 09, there is very little possibility that you may be pregnant. Get you urine tested for pregnancy. If it does show positive result, get an ultrasound scan done after a week or two to confirm that the pregnancy is in the uterus and not in the tubes. Accordingly you can decide what to do.
Hi,thanks for query. After tubal ligation chances of pregnancy are very very less. Not only tube is ligated but the ends are not even in contact with each other. Please go for urine pregnancy test.In an unfortunate case if it positive you can continue till term if your want,as the tube ligation and baby growth are not related. Please talk to your doctor also for some other reason for delay in periods.buy.

It has been 6 years with very heavy bleeding and enlarged uterus. Do I need o worry about heavy scar tissue being an issue in this surgery and can it lead to a full abdominal hysterectomy?

Hello! I am 35 weeks pregnant. Started itching all over body especially palms and soles. Doctor advised lfts. Alp-210 Sgot -32u/L Sgpt-37U/L The obg suggested close fetal monitoring with ctg n lft repeats and is suspecting obstetric cholestasis. She suggested early labor induction once I complete 37 weeks. I am not vry sure if the diagnosis is not confirmed...do I go ahead with the labour induction & continue monitoring till my due date n wait for normal labour to start? Evrythings perfect with me and I was looking forward to a normal delivery. N I am strictly against c sections and I heard labor inductions in first timers 60% of the times end up in c sections. Please advise! Thnks!
