Hello dear,

The symptoms & case history mentioned in your post suggest that you might be having Androgenetic alopecia.
Also known as Male pattern baldness, it usually follows a pattern of receding hairline & is related to genetic makeup and male sex hormones.

Management includes:
1. Minoxidil preparation to be applied directly to the scalp to stimulate the hair follicles.
2. Finasteride preparations that interferes with the production of male hormone linked to baldness.
But these medications have to be used regularly under the guidance of a Dermatologist...as hair loss tends to return on stoppage of these medications.

Those cases which do not respond to medical therapy, are managed by hair transplantation.

So...it will be better to consult a Dermatologist & start treatment.
Wishing you a Good Health.
Take care.

Hi. Welcome to healthcaremagic.

I would keep a possibility of Androgenetic alopecia. It is common in both males as well as females.

Clinically it presents as widened part width, hair thinning from the front of the scalp in females and receding hair line in males.

Treatment is topical minoxidil (5% for males and 2% for females) 1ml twice daily and oral antiandrogen i.e finasteride.

Treatment is long term and needs to be taken for 6 months for results to be noticed.

regards
