What Is The Numbness In My Ear Lobe?

Part of my left ear has been numb all day. The numbness itself seems to begin at the lobe where one would usually get a piercing and follows the back edge of the ear right up the the top. I considered the possibility of having slept awkwardly on it but wouldn t feeling return quite quickly in such instances when pressure is removed? I ve never had this problem before - what might cause it?

Hello,

The numbness in this region is not related to any serious medical disorder. It could be a pinched nerve. There is no need to panic or do any tests. This situation will recover on its own, but it may need a couple of days to do this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka
