What Is The Normal Bp For A 72 Year Old Male?
My father in law is 72 years old. He has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. His blood pressure was 102/55 today. His doctor said that if the reading is below 120 do not take his blood pressure meds. My question is....what is a normal blood pressure for a man of his age?

The blood pressure we like to see is 120/70. Lower blood pressures may be okay if you are not on medications and not having symptoms, but I agree if he is taking medications and his BP is below 120 he should not need to take the medications. There is a risk of blood pressure being to low of dizziness and falling as well as passing out.
