Hello,
Welcome to HCM
I understand your concerns.
As you are a chronic diabetic from 30 years, and your symptoms are definitely suggestive of you are suffering form diabetic peripheral neuropathy. In this condition nerves get damaged. These damaged nerves cannot effectively carry messages between the brain and other parts of the body.

Gabapentin is the most effective medication for this neuropathic pain. But if your symptoms are not relieved from this, you can also try Tricyclic antidepressants, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, antiepileptic medications, and capsaicin after consulting your treating doctor.
Nowadays oral topiramate ,an anticonvulsant medication has been effectively used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. You can try this also.
Hope you are happy with the answer.
Thank you
