What Is The Medication For High Temperature, Severe Pain In Legs?

My 6 yr old son has been poorly for 2 days now. Started on Xmas eve when he woke with a high temperature and tiredness. That evening he was very sick and didn t eat. Christmas Day he woke again with a temperature and was sick again. The rest of the day he didn t eat and was uninterested in everything, just sat around. This morning he is extremely lethargic, hasn t eaten anything and is still running a high temperature. He is dreadfully pale and is complaining of severe pains in his legs and can t walk without some support. I m waiting for a call back from the emergency doctor but I m starting to get really concerned.

Child is not eating and having high temperature , so this is a natural thing that he will feel severe pain in calf muscles ( in legs ) . When such type of patient visit in my clinic I first of all advise them to get in blood for Malarial parasites , serum bilirubin level , S G OT , SG P T .
As you mentioned that he is tired and color is pale.
Due to anorexia , your child is looking pale , due to high fever he has pain in legs .
I usually give such patient intravenous Ringer lactate 2-3 drips with multivitamin ( 10 in each bottle).
This type of high grade fever may be due to malaria , FLU ( viral fever ) .
In my opinion consult a primary care physician and get his opinion.
