General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

POD (Pouch of Douglas) indicates a natural pouch-like sac of peritoneum in the pelvic region. It is completely normal to find moderate amount of pelvic fluid getting accumulated in the POD. It is no cause for worry.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
