I am prescribed compressions socks. Last night when I took them off, I noticed a hard lump under my skin about 2 inches long a few inches above my ankle. I never noticed this before however before the compression socks my legs were swollen so might now have noticed. I am not sure if I should be calling my dr or if this can wait until my next appt a couple of weeks from now.
It could be due to the compression stocking or it could be thrombophlebitis if it seems painful. Either way do not worry. Continue wearing your stockings. Are you wearing them for DVT or anything else? Do let me know so I can advice you better. Take care.
