What Is The Impact Of RBBB On Diabetic And BP Patients?

Hi
My father is diagnosed with RBBB today. From last 3 years he is suffering from renal failure but not under dialysis. He has Diabetes & High BP as well. Creatinine is around 8 from last one year, Blood count is just around 7. What would be the impact of this RBBB for such patients?

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

First and foremost, RBBB is often a normal finding. Many normal people have RBBB in their regular ecg. So if he has no symptoms, I would not worry too much about the RBBB.

If there are symptoms, then RBBB may be significant. And then he may need a holter monitoring and an echocardiography at least. The medicines to be given would vary accordingly.

There is also the aspect about a regular check up of potassium.

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.

Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.

Please feel free to ask another query. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
