What Is The Ideal Time To Do Pregnancy Test?

Doctor, Iam Shalu,30 yrs.i have got married 8 years..we are under in infertility treatment.Doctor advised for my husband gyargin powder for two months and for me folsafe tablet.My last mensus period date was june 22th 2011.We suspect pregnency now.i missed my period this month.When i can do my pregnency test.Please advice me doctor, we are in so confusions.

If you are refering to pregnancy test on urine, you should understand there are different types of pregnancy tests to be performed on urine. The beta hCG test is very specific and sensitive and is supposed to give reliable results 2-3 days after missing the period. The other routine tests take time and are reliable only after 8-10 days after the missed period.
The other test in this era that has become in vogue is ultrasonography. That also gives reliable information after 8-10 days after missed period. You can plan your pregnancy test accordingly.
