I m at work in a pharmacy, always very busy, stressful on a daily basis. Last week i am super busy i started getting a feeling like something was pushing down hard on my sternum or right where my bra hits in the middle of my chest, along with can t take deep breaths. I told them I needed a break. Even after trying to relax for 30 min i still had the heaviness in my chest and breathing about 50 min; after it started it subsided. then i felt totally exhausted and barely made it thru the day? do you think that was a panic attack or what?
I am so sorry to hear about what you experienced. This is suggestive of a panic attack. However, I will not want to make this diagnosis based on a one time occurrence. I will suggest that you monitor and report future symptoms so that we can have more arguments to make this diagnosis and treat accordingly.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for patronizing our services and please do feel free to ask for follow up clarifications and information if need be. I wish you the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
