there's a defibrillator that 'shocks' a heart back into (hopefully) a better rhythm. There's pacemkers, that regulate a heart beat. There's also AICD=automatic internal cardiac defibrillators=works like a pacemaker sort of, but instead of pacing it automatically shocks the heart from inside, instead of outside. Hope this helps
