What Is The Health Implication Of Having Bulky Uterus And Fibroid Nodules?

I am 46 year old woman, single, yet to have children. did scan on abdominopelvic. the result says the uterus is bulky. The myometrial echotexture is riddled with multiple fibroid nodules ranging in size from 3.4*3.4cm to 11*11.0cm (pedunculated type). What is the health implication of this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Fibroids per say might not cause any problem except for severe bleeding during your cycles. Sometimes it happens in between the cycles too, if this happens, please get your uterus removed as soon as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Haleema Yezdani, General & Family Physician
