Hi, paracetamol(crocin) for a 9 kg child, dose should have been 5 ml. But the dose at which toxicity of the drug occurs, is much higher. 10 ml of crocin might produce certain symptoms like nausea, vomiting, gastric distension. Toxicity of this drug is unlikely to occur. Right now, feed the child with water and food so that he empties the bowel early and reduces its absorption. And watch for any symptoms. Treatment will be based on symptoms of the child. No specific antidote(N acetyl cysteine) needs to be given at present.
Thanks and regards.
