Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Siddartha's Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I have a question for you. Are you using any medicine for the past 1 year? If so, what is the dosage and what was the previous TSH value? The values that you have depicted here indicate hyperthyroidism.
If you were a hypothyroid person previously and you are taking medicines like 25 mcg thyroxine, the dose has to be reduced.
If you are hyperthyroid person, you have to take methimazole or propyl- thiouracil.
But to this current scenario (very low TSH), you should not take thyroxine tablets. Low TSH means your thyroid hormones are within normal limits.
The values has to be correlated with the previous values. Consult endocrinologist or general physician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Siddartha
