What Is The Dosage Of Bromergon?

I am 47 years old. My sex is MALE. I did hormonal profile test and the result indicate that my prolactin level is 583. The doctor placed me on Bromergone tablets to be taken once a day for 30 days. Please is this dosage adequate for this treatment or should I take more bromergone tablets.

Hi
Bromergone is a medicine used in disorders due to high prolactin levels (such as galactorrhoea and prolactinoma); .Your prolactin level is high so this treatement is very important for you.Typically, bromcriptine is administered at an initial dose of 1.25 mg nightly with food and is gradually increased to 2.5 mg bid in 1-2 weeks, as tolerated. Doses larger than 7.5 mg/d are seldom needed except in the treatment of macroadenomas.Anyway my advice is to see talk with an endocrinologist in your area for the follow-up,the tests and the dose of prolactine in the future.
