What Is The Dosage Of Betnovate Cream?

Dear Doctor, I have sebopsoriasis and doctors have prescribed me ultata lotion and septilin sampoo. These medication has not worked but when i use betnovate create the condition improves. Now i am using this cream on scales all over my body including scalp and it is helping me. I want i ask you if i should continue using this cream on my scalp and body for this condition ,how long should i be using this cream. Thanks Vikas

According to you the betnovate is effective and it contains betamethasone 1% and available in 20 gm .
The normal effective dose in an adult is 4-20 mg / day .
Since you are applying this cream on the parts , not mentioned , how many quantity , you are using .
However , mere applying once or twice for 5-10 days don't produces any significant side effects .
But in your case this is a long term matter , so be alert that this is steroid and can decrease immunity , immunity suppression, osteoporosis, reabsorption of calcium from bones .
The applied cream will absorb and it may cause many side effects ( if prolong use is there .
So take precaution that in any condition its dose should not be more than 20 mg ( as in whole ).
You can use for short term not more than 15 days regularly , gape must be after this at least for 15 days .
