Please type your query here...hello doctor, my bld glucse level fasting is 218 n ppbs is 283...no exercise....taking glymer 1mg...also taking sod valproate n revotril for epilepsy...my sgot level is 84..it was 200...once i stopped obimet it came down.. so how should i control my diet n excercise n how to lower blood sugar

Thanks for posting your query.

Diet for diabetes is as follows :

1. Avoid sweets. Avoid fruit juices.
2. You can eat fruits but limited quantity.
3. Have light lunch and dinner.If you feel hungry in evening you can have light snack in evening.
4. Increase your intake of vegetables in your food.

As of exercise you need to do aerobic exercise like brisk walking or jogging or cycling or walking on treadmill at least 15 minutes everyday. And with time that is every 2 weeks increase the intensity of exercise.
I also advise to increase the dosage of your medicine to 2mg aftet consulting your doctor.
