What Is The Cure For Severe Gout Attack?
My husband is suffering from a severe gout attack right now. He went online and read that soaking in Epsom salts will help with the inflammation. He has soaked twice today, morning and just recently, he says the pain is tens times worse than before he soaked it. Any ideas or suggestions?

Cortisone as you know is a corticosteroid and its shot in the joint will provide instant relief and you can use it without any hesitation .
As steroid act as anti inflammatory drug in gout .
Deposition of uric acid crystal in the joints is main reason of pain and gout .
Previously colchicin was the drug of choice .
Now Allopurinol is a very good drug and you can use it very safely with acute attack as I have tried in many patient .
The other point ( measure ) is you can take lemon juice in lukewarm water on empty stomach for 6-12 months .Scientific proof is that ascorbic acid dissolves uric acid crystals hence help in gouty patient.
