What Is The Cure For Pimples On Back And Arm?

Hi, I had a few small pimples on my back and arm that I popped and disinfected. Now, two days later the one on my arm swelled up, the surface of the skin feels hard and hot. The other two are slightly irritated. I am worried it will get worse and might even scar.

Hello,

I have gone through your query and would recommend you to take a course of oral and topical antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines.

I would recommend you to take tablet cephalexin 500 mg twice daily for 5 days and apply fusidic acid cream on the affected areas twice daily. For swelling and pain take tablet ibuprofen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
