Hi,
Welcome to HCM
First of all I would like to inform you that It a good common question in day to day life about babys feeding. When a baby usually is fedded he or she take air along with milk. The air swallowed air when come out it always come out with some amount of milk. This type or regurgitation is called Positing instead of vomiting. This is almost normal condition in 2 month of old baby when the body weight of the baby is increasing and physical activity is good.
In the treatment part usually we do not use drugs and advised proper burping as you already mentioned. The baby should kept over shoulder and gentle stroke by palm for few minutes after each feed.If you do that the condition will gradually resolves with time.
Thanking you.

Hello ,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic forum.
< br>When the baby drinks milk it has to pass through a food pipe or esophagus before
entering the stomach which is connected to it with a sphincter. In newborn and infants this ring like sphincter between esophagus and stomach may not be very strong or is lax causing reflux of stomach contents up into esophagus. This is called
Gastroesophageal reflux disease. This happens involuntarily after feeds or during
burping due to ingested air and distended stomach. It usually resolves in few months as baby grows. If this persists for more than the months or is severe enough to cause weight loss or failure to gain wt then please consult a pediatrician for thorugh assessment and treatment of the same.

Meanwhile you should keep baby upright or reclined for half an hour after feeds, give him small frequent feeds, and burp regularly post feeds to avoid vomiting later on.

Pediatrician, Gastroenterology Dr. Sharat Varma's  Response
It is most likely due to faulty feeding posture and technique. He swallows air as he feeds and as the air escapes it brings out the milk as well. So adopt a correct posture, burp correctly and he should be well
