Hallow Dear,

It seems the anterior lip of the cervix got caught between the head of the foetus and pelvic bones which arrested the progress of the labour and she had to undergo caesarean delivery. This has no connection with the post delivery infection she had.

The swelling in the perineal region after control of infection could be due to local inflammation and could be treated by sits bath. Ask her to put some Povidone iodine in tolerably warm water in a tub and make her squat in the tub for 15-20 minutes every day after bath. Squatting is very important. This should give her relief.

I hope this helps her.
