What Is The Cause Of Sore Throat When On Atrax?

hi my son is only 6 months old & last week he was sufferd wid fever & cough only , my peads doc advised syrup asthaline,atrax,azithro,meftal.Then fever & cough subsides but after 2 days he is producing sore throat type sound & now he is having gargling sound what should i do

I have gone through your query regarding sore throat even after taking medicins for fever and cough.

As your son had already treated for respiratory tract infection and now his cough and fever had subsided but sore throat type sound is still there it demands further investigations like-

1- X-Ray chest.

2- Culture and sensitivity of throat swab.

3- Sputum for Gram's staining.

4- Blood - CBC, ESR, blood sugar (F & PP).

Beside this a thorough examination of nose ,paranasal sinuse , throat and chest and their clinical co-relation with inferences of above investigations will give us clue for diagnosis, which may be accordingly manage.
