What Is The Cause Of Severe Pain In Left Shoulder?
Hello. I have a severe pain in my upper left arm going into my shoulder. It has come on all of a sudden with no injury to that area. It is so bad that I can not lift my arm up without extreme pain. I have no other symptoms that I am aware of. Do you think I need to be seen right away?

Pain radiation to left arm and shoulder has to be evaluated for cardiac pathology like coronary ischemia.I advice you to have a baseline EKG and a 2 dimensional echocardiography to rule out coronary artery disease.Monitor your blood pressure.Based on the results ,coronary angiography can be done further.Consult your cardiologist for further care.
