Hi there.
Usually
severe headache with giddiness could be due to severe migraine attack which are common in women. Usually there are no tests for migraine which may be useful in diagnosis as it is a clinical diagnosis made by the Doctor.
She must avoid Coffee, Tea, Smoking, Alcohol, Chocolate, Sunlight exposure, loud noise, junk food,
dehydration at all costs/ These can be triggers of migraine.
Yes, Depressive illness can cause
constipation but if she is not passing
blood in stool or no
abdominal pain, the treatment must be simple. A
Psychiatrist will be able to diagnose depressive illness better, so please take her with you to meet with a leading Psychiatrist, especially if she is having low mood, sleep disturbances, weakness, fatigue throughout the day.
She must take diet rich in fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Drink 1-2 litres of water a day. Exercise by brisk walking for 40 minutes a day. She must take 2 tablespoons of Ispaghulla husk in a glass of water everyday. This will allow free passage of feces everyday.
Kindly do
consult a Neurologist regarding possible migraine or Vertigo related illness. For Vertigo usually Beta histine tablet will be fine provided she does not have any contraindications for taking it.
Wishing speedy recovery.
Regards,
