What Is The Cause Of Pressure Sensation In Coccyx And Tailbone Area?
Hi, i am a woman and i am 27 years old. Since a few months I have had a wierd "pressure" on and around my coccyx and tailbone area. A doctor has looked at it and thinking that´s some kind of coccygodynia problem. He also did a regular X-ray which were completly normal , now he has sent me to an MR x-ray too...I am very very scared of it. In my mind I have those ideas that it may be some sort of cancer....can it be that? Besides this "Pressure"-feeling and anqkwardness while I am sitting its nothing unusual with me. I am feeling fine and has no real pain My doctor is completly sure about it, he says theres no cancer...I have anyway doubts about. I am scared :(...

1.Your doctor have confirmed that there is nothing to worry, and if feel same too.
2.But if you have pain and pressure symptoms - there are possibilities.
3.Plain x-ray will only give the information about the bony pathology.
4.MRI will give Disc , nerve , chord pathology ( your symptoms are more towards nerve compression )
5.So get the MRI done, it will definitely help you. There is nothing which make some one to think of cancer. So forget about it.
