What Is The Cause Of Palpitations?

I have an angiogram scheduled for Aug. 21. They suspect artery blockage. My heart flutters all day and night. I frequently feel like coughing. I am a nervous wreck. I am taking Plavix. Are these flutters something I should be worried about. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello

Yes abnormal heart rhythm always be the matter of concern, actually fluttering can only be detected by EKG (Pure medical term used for fluttering ) else for the patient it could be different one but any abnormal feeling of heart rhythm need to be taken seriously and here in your case it seems to be the cardiac disease related abnormal heart beat so you are being advised for angiography, it is better to get that done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
