Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to an infection.

The ear pain and jaw lock are closely related to each other, caused by an inner ear infection or inflammation.

The symptoms in your lower limbs could be related to a spinal disc displacement or arthritis.

Do you have troubles with urination? What about walking with closed eyes? This could indicate possible lumbar spine compression (by a bulging disc or any other lesion).

I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a lumbar spine X ray study
- a complete blood count and inflammation tests (PCR, sedimentation rate)
- blood electrolytes.

Further tests may be necessary, especially in case of abnormal physical examination.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Aida
