I was told a month ago I have LPR reflux. My throat has been swelling, pills gets stuck in my throat, I have hoarseness and nasal drainage. I also clear my throat often and feel like I have a lump in my throat. When i read of the symptoms I felt comfortable with the diagnosis. Today I saw another doctor in the ENT office, he said my Lamitcal may be causing all my symptoms. I am anemic, having a hard time swallowing and breathing, hair falling out, and I stay tired. The ENT doctor wants to do an upper GI to make sure I don't have nerve damage in my throat and to see if anything is wrong when I swallow. Should I have the test done or see if my Lamitcal is causing all these symptoms. I've been on the Lamitcal for over 7 years. The ENT doctor said the Lamitcal could be putting toxics in my body. Both the side effects of Lamitcal and the LPR reflux compare. Having 2 doctors tell me different things at the same office is confusing me. I don't which one I should believe. Thoughts????
