What Is The Cause Of Lump On The Inside Of Leg?

I have a small lump on the inside of my right leg, just above the knee. It is not red. It is hard. It is sometimes painful....burning....and othertimes it doesn't hurt at all. I was wondering if it could be a parasite under the skin living in my tissue....or is it just a cyst?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Since how long have you got this ?
This is the most unusual site for parasite.
There is more chance of this being a cyst or lipoma or neuroma. I would advise such a patient to consult the Surgeon and get this excised.
The excision helps in two ways : First , one gets the disease out of the body. Secondly , you get a histopathological diagnosis to confirm what is was.
I find this answer helpful
