I have these very itchy spots that have appeared on various spots on my body since August. At first I thought they were poison ivy, because I had been working outside. That wasn t it. They look like bites. They appear randomly on my arms, torso and legs. I have seen my dermatologist four times and two biopsies. He said they appeared to be an allergic reaction to insect bites. He prescribed prednisone, which worked when the dose was high but dissipated at the end of the course. Then they reappeared. He prescribed a cream which helps stop the itch, but the spots keep reappearing. They are very irritating.
