hey, my name is Allison. I've had bumps come up on me in the past month and I only itch at night and i've been told its dried skin so I put lotion on it at night, but it only itches worse and its getting to the point that i'm itching my self raw. what could this be?
It seems that you might have prurigo simplex. There may be papular eruptions wth severe itching more at night. There may be some cause. Stress, worries, tension ,irritants or some allergen would be the cause. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. After thorough examination and investigations, he might give you proper treatment. Antihistaminics like levocetirizine and short course of steroid in tappering dose woud be helpful. Application of mild steroid cream with antibiotics might improve the lesions. If there any systemic disease is found, take the treatment from physician. You may be alright.
Thanks.
