What Is The Cause Of Hematuria?

Hematuria in urine, when it is done with a cathater there is no blood, test was done by an ER Doctor. He also did a blood test for a disease of the muscle since he said that could cause the hematuria, came back negative. I have had a CAT Scan, MRI and an ULtrasound all came back ok, do you know what would cause the hematuria, one urologist thought it could be non bacterial cystitis is there anything else?

I would have to know your age to give a more precise answer. From your question, it appears that the hematuria has resolved and all the scans are negative. In this case it is not a cause for concern and the chance of there being something abnormal is very minimal.

The most likely cause could be following some cystitis as your urologist pointed out. Also sometimes overexertion, altered calcium levels in urine can cause such hematuria, none of which are of significant concern.
