What Is The Cause Of Headache With Heavy Pressure And Blurred Peripheral Vision Causing Mood Swings ?

Every now and again I wake up felling strange. I have dull headache and a heavy pressure feeing in my head and feel me peripheral vision isn t clear. When I get this I fell very moody, low and like I just don t want to do anything. It s very frustrating as I have no reason to feel low or so moody. I have had it twice in the last week but tend to get it at least once a week. Most days I m very happy and my head feels clear.

Hello Angela,
Headache which is present on waking up and causing a disturbance in peripheral vision could point towards Increased Intracranial Pressure and warrants detailed evaluation by a Neurologist.A space occupying leision also merits consideration.
It could also be just Migraine with aura but its important to rule out the more serious secondary causes first.
Please visit a Neurologist and hope this information helps!

If you are getting up with dull headache, heavy pressure in head, difficulty in peripheral vision and mood disturbances, do get your MRI Brain to rule out any intracerebral pathology as your symptoms are suggestive of raised intracranial pressure. If MRI Brain is normal do consult a neurologist as the second possibility is of headaches due to Migraine.

Gen. Physical examination including your eye sight, blood pressure, free nasal passages the common causes for morning headache once normal, from my point of view you should exclude the worst things first and concentrate on the minor problems latter. Get an MRI of brain done to look for any pathology to rule out aneurysmal cyst, any vascular malformation and any growing space occupying lesion in your brain and also excluding cervical spondylitis.
Once everything OK, reassure yourself there is no problem. Shun any wrong habit like drinking which gives hangover headache when you wake up in the morning.

There is something's abnormal in your subconscious mind. Are you strained in your work. Do have aspirations which remained unfulfilled. Don't you have any business problems. You dream of these during night and feel them unresolving which is the cause of your morning headache and out of mood.
Second possiblity could be that your nose during night gets blocked causing sinusitis giving rise to morning headache which vanishes by the passage of the day.
For the first cause you have to reassure your self that hings will settlle.
