HI IVE JUST BEEN DIGNOISED WITH LARGE FOLLICLE CYSTS ON MY OVERY, IM ABIT CONCERNED AS I HAD A HYSTERECTOMY 21YRS AGO, I DID HAVE MY OVERIES LEFT IN AS I WAS SO YOUNG AT THE TIME, BUT WAS TOLD B MY Y GP THAT I WOULD OF GONE THREW MENOPAUSE BY NOW, IM 51 YRS OLD..WAT IS THIS CYST AFTER ALL THIS TIME?THANKYOU

It is benign ( non cancerous) cyst and arising due to hormonal imbalances. In most cases it will regress after menopause. If the cyst persists even after menopause, surgical removal may be required.
