What Is The Cause Of Dizziness And Headache?

Hi, I just woke up about 30 minutes ago, I feel dizzy, nauseous, I am dry heaving, headaches, hot and cold flashes, also I keep leaning foward whenever I sit or stand up. What could possibily be wrong with me? It is 3 am in the morning, I am considering about going to a hospital.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dizziness and headache. The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection , meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , sinusitis and multiple sclerosis. Need not to worry. Sometimes ear infection occur due to postnasal drip due to sinusitis. You should avoid bending forward , take steam , drink ginger tea thrice a day and do light exercises daily . I would suggest you to consult with ENT specialist for proper checkup so that there will not be any further complication. Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI , blood test , audiometry test and ECG to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe anti emetic drug, sedatives , antibiotics , decongestants,drain sinus and prescribe some ear aid.
