What Is The Cause Of Delay In Period?

hi my first day of last period was on nov 20th evening.i had a spotting on 26th dec .after that no periods till now.home pregnancy test showed negative early morning urine test.i never have this much delayed periods.no signs of getting priods.what shall I do?

Hello madam, from the history you have given, I would suggest you to consult your gynaecologist, you may require an examination, if pregnancy is ruled out then you may be prescribed medicines for withdrawal bleeding. Sometimes stress also delays periods.a detail history may be required to rule out the cause of irregular periods. Even medical disorders like thyroid can also alter the menustrual cycles . hope i was helpful to you.
