What Is The Cause Of Dark Stools?

Hi, I am SUNIL, age-28. In my recent test i found Bilirubin total- 2.11 (0.3 to 1.20) and ALT SGPT- 61 (Normal-13 to 40). I have started taking Liv52 DS from last 2weeks. Recently i have observed that i am getting tight dark stool.Wht may be the reason i am concerned..??? We party (alcohol) on every weekend too!! Is it due to GI bleeding??/sometimes feeling like vomiting, dizziness too...Pls help i have attached my report.

Hi your tests suggestive of alcoholic hepatitis which should settle on stopping the same.Dark tarry stools is called malena which may be due to bleeding from stomach induced by alcohol or in liver disease of long standing from engorged blood vessels in food pipe. You get stool analysis ,if occult blood is present get a gastroscopy done
