What Is The Cause Of Dark Green Stools?

Green stool
I have had a sinus infection for about 4 days. Was given zithromax 250mg. When I woke up this morning I needed to use bathroom. Stool was soft but hard to get out. This caused my body to overheat and me to be very naseaus to the point I had to take a xanax and sleep. When I woke up I went again. Easier and same consistency. Both times it has been a dark greenish color though. Why?

Hi..

Thanks for contacting HCM for health query..

You were diagnosed to have sinusitis and prescribed azithromycin 250 mg .But you had a stool which was hard to push out and was green and you had nausea and restlessness which made you take alprazolam..

You queries are Is this an abdomen infection?

Is this because of the drug?

Why stool green and hard to push

My thinking are,

I do not suspect any abdomen infection because stool was soft and you had only nausea and no vomiting,no loose stools.

The restlessness -nothing specific for this condition

Green stools may not be pathological always may occur with a normal person.

Wait for 3-4 days and watch the colour of stool and if continues to be green take up motion complete and get a in person doctor opinion.
