I started with a bad stomach ache in the middle of the night. I keep having the urge to have a bowel movement, but, I am passing bright red blood when I go to the bathroom...this has been going on for about 12 hours and no easing yet..nothing that I ate!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, it appears to be the colitis, may be the amoebic colitis. The other possibility may be the hemorrhoids, but pain wont be there.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms dicyclomine , ofloxacin, ornidazole, ranitidine, loperamide, and lacticacid bacilli.
Avoid taking spices, junk foods, and oily foods.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
