What Is The Cause Of Blood Clots Inside The Mouth?

I get these random blood clots inside my mouth, they appear in random parts of the inside of my mouth (cheeks, lower/upper lip) and usually disappear within a day or even a few hours. It doesn't appear to be bitten skin or anything. So why do these appear? and what are they?
