What Is The Cause Of A Spot In The Lung?

I got my results today of an xray that i had done last week, the doctor advised me that the radiologist doctor said there was vague spot in my left lung between the 6 and 7 ribs and I went and got CT Scan. I am really scared can you tell me what you think?

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Spot in lungs on chest x ray is always needs CT thorax with contrast to confirm tge diagnosis.
Following characteristics of lung spot are necessary to differentiate between malignant and benign nodule.
1. Exact size
2. Margins of nodule
3. Calcified or not.
4. Surrounding lung tissue involved or not.
5. Mediastinal lymphnodes involved or not.
All these features are important and can only be seen in CT thorax with contrast.
Since you already had CT, wait for the results and see for above mentioned characteristics.
