What Is The Cause Of A Droopy Eyelid?

My left eyelid is droopy and my left cheek is very puffy. I have degenerating disc in my neck and when in pain it gives me a headache and sometime radiates down my hip or leg. Could this cause the eyelid and cheek problem or do i have a bad sinus infection. i was just told by a co-worker that my lip droops a little on my left side. my cheek is not painful nor numb. what could it be?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

Your symptoms could be related to a sinus infection or a cranial nerve damage.
In my opinion, this clinical situation is not related to your cervical spine problems.
For this reason, I recommend consulting with your GP for a physical exam and a sinus X ray study, coupled with a complete blood count for sinus infection.
If these tests result normal, I would advice consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam. A brain MRI may be needed.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards, Dr. Aida
