What Is The Cause For Weight Gain When On Implanon?
Hi, I have a question about birth control and possibly making me gain too much weight. I am currently on Implanon (the arm implant) and I will be removing it this June because that would be my three years. When I got it impanted, I was 130lbs and now I am currently 190lbs. So for the last three years, I have gained like 60lbs! I've been eating right and excercising daily plus I have a 2 year old that I am constantly running after! I just wanted to know if this type of birth control can make me gain this much weight?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. There may be a possibility of the weight gain with the implanon, but may not be of only the implanon. The ways to control the weight may be the minimise the sleeping hours, it is the main thing, and don't try to sleep in the daytime. Avoid fats, oily foods, junk foods, fries of any curries. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods to gain health and not calories. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. thank you.
